Intel 8th Generation PCH is compatible with Coffee Lake series processors. This series includes Intel Core i3, i5, i7 and i9 processors. It has the LGA1151 socket type and is used in desktop, mobile and ultraportable devices. 8th Generation processors offer a higher core count and higher performance than previous generations.

Intel 8th Generation PCH covers 300 series chipsets and is available in a BGA package. It supports the following basic pin configurations:
- PCIe Lines: Support for 24 PCIe Gen 3 lines.
- USB Connections: 10 USB 3.1 and 14 USB 2.0 ports.
- SATA Connections: 6 SATA 6Gbps ports and Intel Optane Memory support.
- Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C support.
- Intel HD Audio and Intel Smart Sound technology.
📏 Physical Properties
The Intel 8th Generation PCH is usually in a BGA package measuring 23 mm x 23 mm. The chip is manufactured with a lead-free solder ball composition (Sn-Ag-Cu). This structure provides better thermal performance and complies with environmental standards.
🔥 Thermal Properties
The maximum operating temperature of Intel 8th Generation PCH can reach up to 110°C. In normal use, the temperature range is usually between 40°C and 85°C. Cooling solutions are recommended for high performance systems.

📦 Package Information
Intel 8th Generation PCH is available in BGA 1440 and BGA 1356 packages. These packages are soldered directly to the motherboard and cannot be replaced. Care must be taken during repair processes.
